Case loves to run around and splash in the water. Today Westlands Park was pretty crowded so it took Case awhile to get comfortable and let me go sit in the shade, or maybe he just keeps me at his side to protect his water toys from being stolen by other kids. Lol. There are some mean kids out there! Its been super hot here lately but it wasn’t too bad under our tree and we had a nice picnic with some friends.

Case and Alex fought over this truck most of the time. It is Alex’s truck but Case managed to be playing with it the majority of the time.

Case also enjoys run up and down the “rivers.”

Bryce and I decided to get Case a balance bike for his birthday. For those who don’t know what those are...the bikes don’t have pedals and are suppose to teach kids balance at an early age. Case is pretty much obsessed with bikes so we knew he would love it, so when it came we couldn’t contain ourselves; we gave it to him a week early.

Today was Case’s first time riding his bike outside. We walked to the park and back and Case did really well! He can’t get enough of his bike! Its probably a good thing we gave it early so that he will notice his other presents this Saturday. LOL.

Here are a couple videos of Case riding. At first he wouldn’t get on his bike; I think he was a bit scared of the different terrain, but he soon got over that. For those of you who are interested you can see tons of videos on youtube with other toddlers riding their Strider bikes. Watching those videos is one of Case favorite things to do!

And then he finally got on his bike and starting riding.

First we drove to Utah. We met my parents there and then traveled up Provo Canyon to some cabins to a reunion on my grandma Deane’s side. The above picture is Case on the tire swing...he spend most of his time on this swing and throwing sticks into the creek nearby. He really enjoyed this trip (despite missing his daddy so much) cause he got to spend so much time outside.

As usual I didn’t remember to take many pictures but I did take a few videos so hopefully they work for you all. Here is a video of Case riding the swing. You’ll notice throughout the blog that Case’s favorite position in front of the camera is to face away...sort of like a zebra in the zoo.

Case also loved riding in the cozy coupe and scooter that were outside my grandpa’s house in American Fork. Here is another video of him riding in the car; he pretty much spent all day in the car but as usual once he noticed the camera he stopped performing. He was actually pretty zippy in his car.

Then off we went to visit family in Idaho. Our visit seemed way too short but it was nice to see some family that we don’t very often get to see, and we had a lot of fun. Case really enjoyed playing with his cousins toys-mostly the trampoline and thomas the train. Here are two more videos of Case playing. The reason I took so many videos is because he loves to watch them over and over on our computer and I was getting tired of the ones we had!

Kind of boring videos but I figured I’d post them just in case someone wants to see them.

We also went to a bouncy house place while we were in Idaho and Case had a great time. He loved going to down the slides the most even the huge one. He kept dragging Brandon all over to take him down over and over since he couldn’t figure out how to climb up the “ladder.”

Here they are hiking up the big slide.

Can’t hardly wait...

Loves it!!

I got one picture of someone besides Case. Yay! Here is little Averie.

And more sliding! Case loved it.

We’ve been here before but now that Case is loving trains and anything on wheels I thought we’d try it out again. There is a petting zoo, train rides and fun shallow river throughout the park that the boys loved. Once again, Case didn’t really go for the live animal thing. Mostly because he was too preoccupied with the pebbles in his shoes...he will only wear his crocs and so little pebbles and dirt easily get into the shoes...and Case can’t handle that apparently. I had to carry him the whole time!

Such a worried little boy! He did actually like this calf and was trying to feed it for awhile, but then something got into his shoe.

He loved the train though. I’m thinking that when Thomas comes to town in September we will for sure have to go. Case is loving Thomas the train at the moment.

Getting ready for the train to start.

Didn’t like the engineer so much this time!

Case and his friend Alex. And here are a few pictures of Case and Alex at the “river”.

I haven’t blogged in a long time myself. This weekend I finally was able to walk for graduation. I finished my program in March, but they didn’t have a winter quarter ceremony so I had to wait for this opportunity to walk. I didn’t walk as a undergrad, so my mom was very excited and made sure this time that it didn’t get passed up. My parents were able to come visit for a few days and we had a great time. Some friends were able to watch Case for a couple hours so that we could enjoy the ceremony together.

I’m glad I was able to have the opportunity to spend the last 18 months at DU. I made a lot of great friends while going through the program as well as take some big steps towards many of my occupational goals. Plus, Denver was a fun place to go to school with the ease of getting out to cycle, snowboard, hike or anything else outside! For the time being it looks like we will be staying in the area. I’m working up in Broomfield, CO (it’s in between downtown Denver and Boulder, CO), so we’ll be staying in this area for the foreseeable future. I got a job as a Financial Analyst for a large telecommunications company. Sharee asks me all the time what I do, I tell her that I change font sizes in different spreadsheets for my Sr. Director all day long. Haha... In reality I do spend about 97% of my day building financial models in Excel. I’m part of the financial planning group, so I spend a lot of time working on monthly and yearly budgets for different groups as well as monthly revenue reporting. Yuck, right? It sounds boring, but I love it!

This is Daniels College of Business. All of my classes and studying were in this building. The school of finance was on the 5th floor.

It’s another boy!! And I’m very happy that Case will have a brother. I think it will definitely be crazy but fun also. Bryce is a bit sad not to have a girl to spoil; he was hoping for a girl but he is okay with it now.

So these aren’t the best ultrasound pictures I’ve seen but you get the idea. The sonographer took a ton but only gave me four and I had to adjust a few things because they turned black when I scanned them so I hope you can see something in the pictures.

Here is the profile and then a 3D image of the face.

My friend Connie and I decided to go to Lil’ Monkey Business this morning which is an indoor amusement place for toddlers, and we will definitely have to go back soon. This is Alex playing with some pom-pons. Case is pretty cute when he plays with Alex; for the most part he likes to follow him where ever he goes.

It is getting harder to take pics of Case these day because he has decided he doesn’t like it and won’t look at the camera! I hope this passes.
At first Case was hesitant to do anything on his own and would cry and look lost anytime he couldn’t see me, but he soon got over that.

After we were there for awhile Case decided the big blow up toys weren’t too scary and he loved discovering the slides and bouncy toys inside.
